Create a Maxon Acount and Download Maxon one
This Part is pretty self-explanatory. Just go to Maxon.net and create an Account. You can also use your Apple ID for it. And then Download and Install Maxon One like every other Program for Mac.
Installing Redshift
Installing Redshift is also pretty self-explanatory in the Maxon App just click on Install and after that Redshift Render is installed.
Installing Redshift in Blender
This Part is the confusing one. Because even Redshift is installed, it is not installed within Blender. And there is also no Link on the Maxon site to download a Plugin for Blender.
But there is no Plugin for any 3D Application available. The reason is, by installing Redshift, you already downloaded a Plugin for every 3D Application available.
You can find them in your Application Folder in the folder called redshift.
For Blender of cause, the folder redshift4blender is the right one.
If you are using Blender 4.2 use the Plugin you fin within the Folder 4.1.0. It is still compatible.
I would recommend pulling the Folder into the Favorites bar that way you can find it easier in Blender.
In Blender, you can now Install the Redshift Add-on like any other Add-on in Blender in the Preferences which you can find under Edit>Preferences (or alternatively with the Shortcut Command+,) under Add-ons click the arrow on the top right side of the windows and click on Install from Disk….
Then you can see the 4.1.0 Folder under System if you added it to your Favorites and Simply Install it. And Redshift is installed in Blender.
