Download Export: Adobe After Effects (.jsx)

Since Blender Version 4.2 Blender doesn’t come with all the Plugins it used to come because most of them weren’t used anyway, which allows, to make the files size of Blender smaller.

Instead, Blender created a new and innovative way, to install Plugins.

Go to extensions.blender.org where you can find all the Plugins, which previously came preinstalled with Blender and more.

And search for After Effects.

Alternatively, you can directly go to the site of the Export: Adobe After Effects (.jsx) Plugin.

On the Page, scroll down and Click on Get Add-On. And Drag the Box Drag and Drop into Blender into Blender than just hit Enter and the Add-On is installed.

What data can you transfer to After Effects?

How to export

Exporting is fairly simple, you just click on file>Export>Adobe After Effects (.jsx).

Here you can decide what you want to export.

You can either export everything, the objects you’ve selected or every visible Object.

You can also set how many pixels one Blender Unit is in After Effects. The default is set to 100px.

How to Import

In After Effects, click on File>Scripts>Run Scripts and select your .jsx File you exported. That will give you a Composition with the same setting as your Blender Project and all the Objects you exported.
